I guess my name is Phyllis mcswine of the Hill science teacher here at South Stanly high school I'm a registered nurse has a mother baby at work in med-surg little bit of everything there but I just want to tell you a little bit of one which involves Anatomy different body systems on the structures how they function disorders that go along with some of my students just an awesome opportunity to have because you so much about your own body and how to make and how to be healthier how to live longer how to prevent certain diseases so it's just enough had some students that came into the class never thought they were interested in going to the Hill Field and then they finished up my classes I would like yeah I think that's what I want to do especially by the medical technology that's another really good class that I teach it goes I always tell the kids if you don't like what we're doing this week just sit tight. next week will be doing something totally different cuz it says such a variety we did go into forensics science and autopsies we do regenerative medicine nanotechnology are we study of infectious diseases which the hot spot right now with the coronavirus and then I also teach health science which is really a second-level plan to go out the maybe do something in the medical field to give you an idea of what kind of qualities and characteristics that they're looking for in the healthcare field Panda somebody's you're going for interview CPR certified you'll get Asha certification in healthcare just a lot of terminology that will be very helpful for you if you're going into the I'm so glad I took because it really all that medical terminology that I'll run really help me out a lot so it's just a good opportunity like you're interested in going into the medical field highly recommend taking all three of those classes that I offer Tucker I am the business teacher here at South Stanly High School courses that we usually have her offer here at South Benton high school or career management principles of business and finance we also are starting a new drone technology course I hear this next semester that we're looking forward to that one table kids to maybe get their self on the upside of the 21st technology it will help them in a vastly growing in our world today what this class will enable them to do drone technology worn on the neck take the part 107 Pilots unmanned aircraft Pilots exam in order to have a certificate then be able to fly at certain areas also alleviate siminoff to Before from the coursework and maybe some opportunities in the workforce for that now we also offer account which is a course will be very advantageous to someone that really likes math so that is something that we offer out there for our kids we're horses in the the New York as off today those are the courses that we offer here is very excited about that we have to offer our kids here at South outside opportunities to speak with people that have any thing to do with our business courses this is a new program. free to join that are Horticultural one and two Landscaping part of that as well and also Small Animal Clinic good thing we also have science applications which made some so we can just start working on the barn so we have a really nice barn out there in about 3 acres so you are currently working on actual frame was very good that the two inches or kind of falling in and bring some Machinery work on fixing that say we have a few things to fix how I my name is Sharon South County High School for Stacy we offered the ServSafe certification for the student and this is offered certification we also learn cooking methods we learn equipment we learn different the different food groups and support of students in Vision nutrition work so if anyone is interested in working with house family or the nutrition program assistant hello James Stewart I am the advanced manufacturing and Robotics teacher at South Point High School my first year here and we are introducing Advanced manufacturing at the school that year, along with Advanced Pain back when you get a tingly get a certified production technician certification which is through mssc is the nationally accredited certification and covers safety Holiday Inn Expresses a main TV wireless it's just that give the students an introductory to Manufacturing in the different aspects of manufacturing from safety production and maintenance all that different aspects of the sea give us a leg up to give them an actual National certification that's why companies would you kind of jug where student is when they graduate high school if they hire them into their work for the other class would be cured of robotic it is a basic bag robotics program that allows students to work with their hands build basic robots 2 first and then allow them to make it out Thomas different program designed so they do with everything from your Goofy robot to go any robot to engineering design engineering notebook to the face programming controls and then it isn't broke through to the other level robotics with our Advanced manufacturing if you are going to partner with the local manufacturers we like to see what there goals of incoming employees would be my day is like to have a feel for what you as an employer would like to see someone that came out of high school with their Guild Eddie Izzard what their knowledge would be with the CBC if they get the TV service station they cover a good base station so that kind of puts them in an OSHA in categories at least they have the knowledge of what they would have done but our main thing is to be what are my boys blueprint Porter going out of their employees knowledge Hands-On do they just want basic knowledge Make It Rain I wanted to learn I'm so so feedback if you doesn't very valuable and what we can before I came to our program and also help provide to the University graduate to go into work good morning my name is Mark Tucker I am a CT teacher head shop Salem High School I teach construction technology we do we do level 1 2 and 3 here basically what I'm trying to train you didn't say is to be able to go right out of high school into the workforce and have some basic knowledge of what the construction industry is like also offered them the opportunity to potentially going to a two-year school and get some kind of a management degree for the can run there trucking companies or go into a four-year School get some kind of education is related to the construction field and then move on into maybe on in their own company or working for a major company it is very very bottle that we have up to us for our students to go into the workforce right out of high school and have opportunities with local companies to keep our local economy supporting our school system we would love to have any and everybody love to jump on board and have apprenticeships or any kind of thing we give these guys and girls working experience and job skills face-to-face experience into the workforce going for when we do offer the 10-hour option card it's free of so students coming out of my class will have their 10-hour safety out of the way and it puts them in front of the job market a little bit quicker nccer prudential's huge nowadays has a basic warning of a modules that gives the kids Basics about a little bit about everything not just construction but Power Tools hand tools safe a lot of different modules there that. A lot of companies are looking for nowadays
